further resolutions

Today was my last day of teaching for this term. Aside from the three hours of mind-numbingly boring number-crunching figuring out grades required, I had a lot of fun filming my students and hanging out with them when they finished their exams. Here are some pictures of my students and a few of their resolutions. My favorite response might be "Abraham's", where he says that his resolution is for me, if I want, to invite him to come to America. I'm going to make an entirely new set of resolutions for myself that involve telling people that my resolution is for them to, if they want, do something that I would like. In fact, my first new year's resolution is that you, if you want, could actually leave a comment on this blog post, thereby reducing my nihilism and intermittent ennui. Yup. That's my first resolution of the new year.

I resolve for you, if you want, to come visit us as soon as you return to the states. Your nephews could use some Ben-time. It makes them pleasantly quirky.

Your students are sooo cute. Do they always dress up like that? I resolve that 5 years from now (if you want) you send those clips to them at their parents' email address which probably won't change!
Enjoy your break and bring back adventures to share with them. It was lovely to see a post. I check every day.

The clothes are their school uniforms. We've had some good debates in my a-level class about the injustice of forcing girls to wear skirts when only the actual classrooms in our building are heated. You can see in some of the pictures that the girls have started taking blankets to school and then wearing the blankets over the top of their uniforms. My students are awesome. I'm very proud of them because my two history classes were able to successfully debate in English, going back and forth, with rebuttals and everything. I'm going to miss those guys when we're on the road for our trip.

i resolve for you, if you want, to spend a 36 hour game playing bender with my husband when you get back. he misses his time with you, and so do i. i also resolve for you, if you want, to post a playlist of the music you have been listening to in china, so i can get an idea of the soundtrack that you have been rocking out to.

I love your students! I resolve for you, if you want, to spend lots of family time when you get back to Kansas. I'm so looking forward to that.
