Thanks, Rhoellste! China has a lot of stairs. Say hello to the cats for us. We miss them! It's getting cold and fallish, and we wish we had JBJ and Athena for lap-warmers.
New Country for Old Ben is the blog I used to document my life in Tianjin, China in 2008 and 2009. If my current Kickstarter campaign is successful, I will use this blog to document my travels and my poetry project in Tianjin this summer.
About me
My name is Ben Cartwright. I am a poet and a fiction writer, and I live in Topeka, Kansas. My writing has appeared in Sentence, DMQ Review, The Stinging Fly, Midwestern Gothic, and other fine places.I was awarded the 2012 Ana Damjanov Poetry Prize from the Academy of American Poets, in conjunction with the University of Kansas.I produce the Kansas Blotter Audio podcast, a collection of recordings of poets and writers working in and around Lawrence, Kansas, where William S. You're looking very skinny, Ben Dean.
